POLICE REPORTS

LISBON

–Shawn D. Tremain, 27, of Lisbon, was cited for driving under suspension, running a stop sign and failure to use the turn signal following a traffic stop on North Beaver Street 8 p.m. Thursday. Tremain gave police permission to search his vehicle and the officer found some marijuana and an open bottle of Jim Beam apple, resulting in additional charges of marijuana possession and having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.

LEETONIA

— An officer responded to the area of Commerce Drive and state Route 344 at 9:26 a.m. Friday in reference to a semi truck in the ditch. The driver said he had felt sick after delivering a load of material at the nearby business and possibly fainted, causing him to travel off the roadway. He said a tow truck was on the way.

— An officer responded to a fire alarm at the water tower on Walnut Street at 1:13 p.m. Friday. A village employee met the officer and said the alarm had been accidental.

— An officer responded to a car alarm complaint at the Mitsubishi plant on Cherry Fork Avenue at 1:29 a.m. Saturday. The complainant said he thought the owner might have been injured inside the plant and set off the alarm. The owner was located and said that he must have bumped the key fob by accident.

— An officer responded to a 300 block Somer Street home at 11:19 a.m. Sunday where an Austintown resident reported being unhappy with items he purchased online from the resident at the home. The Austintown resident was advised that since the transaction was made online and there was no receipt, that matter is civil.
