Salem Finance Committee to meet Tuesday

SALEM — The Finance Committee of city council will hold a meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, an hour before city council’s regular meeting set for 7 p.m. in council chambers at city hall.

The agenda includes the transfer of $200,000 from the general fund carryover to the capital fund for additional paving and the appropriation of those funds within the capital fund for paving and engineering, the appropriation from several police funds and the capital fund of $55,000 to upgrade police department radios, a change in the non-bargaining fringe benefit ordinance regarding vacation time and discussing the annual resolution to accept a donation of $20,000 from the Columbiana County Commissioners to defray costs associated with the full-time officer assigned to the county Drug Task Force.
