— Suspicious activity was reported in the area of Bojangles, state Route 14, East Palestine, at 11:49 p.m. Tuesday. The area was checked, but nothing out of the ordinary was found.

— Desiree N. Milliken, Depot Road, Salem, reported two children, ages 5 and 7 missing from her home at 3:51 p.m. Tuesday. A deputy and the fire department began going door-to-door looking for the children. Firefighers located the children at home at the end of Cameron Street, where they were playing upstairs with a daughter of the resident. She told deputies they children came to her house about an hour ago and the children knew each other from school. A deputy spoke to the 7-year-old, who said they left because they wanted someone to play with. Milliken had fallen asleep for about three hours and awoke to realize two of her three children were gone. The matter will be reported to Children Services.

— Kristie Jackson, West View Drive, Salem, reported at 4:03 p.m., she was in Salem on Southeast Boulevard and turning onto state Route 344 when Scott Jackson, whom she has a protection order against, pulled up to her rear bumper. He then proceeded to follow her east onto state Route 344, so close she could not read his front license plate. Their 15-year-old daughter was in Kristie Jackson’s vehicle and began taking photos and recording the incident. He then reportedly passed her at a high rate of speed near Cunningham Road and began stopping in front of her vehicle, stopping in the middle of state Route 344 at the intersection of Jersey Ridge Road even though there was no oncoming vehicle before turning left onto Jersey Ridge Road.
