Intervention ordered for Salem man on drug charges

LISBON — In Common Pleas Court, Anthony C. Smith, 21, Vine Street, Salem, was found eligible for intervention in lieu of conviction, pleaded guilty to aggravated possession of drugs and possession of drugs and was placed on a four-year intervention treatment plan including six months at the Eastern Ohio Correction Center. He was taken into custody until a bed is available at the EOCC. Smith had cocaine found in a cigarette pack on March 21, 2018 in Salem. Then Smith had methamphetamines on June 13, 2018.

Logan P. Stewart, 23, Jefferson Avenue, Salem, was found eligible for intervention in lieu of conviction, pleaded guilty to possession of drugs and was placed on a four-year intervention treatment plan. Stewart had trace amounts of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in a vape pen in the vehicle on Aug. 26.

Robert M. Hoperich, 65, was found eligible for intervention in lieu of conviction, pleaded guilty to possession of drugs and was placed on a three-year treatment plan. During a Sept. 2, 2017 traffic stop on East State Street in Salem, Hoperich was found with Oxymorphone.
