— Firefighters were called at 12:27 p.m. Tuesday to the 300 block of Benton Road for a large amount of black smoke in the area. No smoke was located, but firefighters spoke with employees at a business and they were unaware of anything burning. Surrounding areas were checked but nothing was found.

— Firefighters responded to a report of a person with their hand trapped in the 200 block of Rose Avenue at 11:34 a.m. Tuesday, finding that a child pinched his finger in the kitchen cupboard hinge. A screwdriver was used to loosen the screw to allow removal of the pinched finger. EMT ambulance also responded and evaluated the injury. No transport was required.
