SHERIFF’S OFFICE

— A Bayard Road, West Township, man reported at 8:32 a.m. Monday a woman has been coming to his home and harassing him, as well as texting and calling him repeatedly for about a month. He said he even moved from Carroll County to Columbiana County to get away from her, but she found out where he was living anyway. He did not want to get into legal trouble for violating a protection order, but he wanted it on record she was not following it.

–A state Route 644, Washington Township, woman reported at 10:30 a.m. Monday her son has mental health concerns and may be under the influence of drugs. He had argued with her before leaving the home. She believed he may be walking on state Route 164 attempting to go to New York. Deputies checked the area surrounding Salineville and state Route 164 without finding him. She also spoke to deputies about the process of having him permanently removed from her home.

— A Wayne Bridge Road, Center Township home was checked at 11:40 a.m. Monday after an alarm sounded. Deputies found both sliding glass doors were opened and a dog was barking inside. The back door of the home was also standing open. Deputies waited until the homeowner arrived and secured the dogs before deputies checked inside the home for possible intruders. There was no one who appeared out of place inside the home.

— A Middleton Road, Fairfield Township, man reported at 9:29 a.m. Monday there have been several attempts to open up credit card accounts in his name. Someone opened a Kohl’s credit card and a Pay Pal account. He has contacted both companies to have the issues resolved. There have also been numerous checks on his credit score. A co-signer of Steven Snoden of Sugarland, Texas, was found on the Kohl’s card. The matter also was forwarded to the Ohio Attorney General’s office.
