SHERIFF’S OFFICE

–A burned car was found in a field off Applegate Road in Center Township at 3:50 p.m. Sunday. The vehicle had no engine or wheels, and the car was so damaged that the deputy was unable to obtain a VIN. Baker Towing was called to haul it away.

–While on patrol a deputy came across a young man and woman in a Tahoe parked in the East Rochester garage on U.S. Route 30 at 9 p.m. Sunday. They had been kicked out of the house by their step-father and were waiting for a family member to assist them. The deputy remained until the help arrived.

–A man who lives Speidel Road, Hanover Township, called Sunday to say he is being harassed by a person against who he has a protection order. The caller was advised to contract the courts about filing contempt charges.

–A deputy was called to a private property accident at 10221 Main St., Hanover Township, at 6 p.m. Saturday. The report listed Courtney J. Harshman as a victim in the accident.

–A caller reported an graduation party possibly involving underage drinking was going on at home on Waterford Road, Unity Township, at 11:42 p.m. June 9. Deputies arrived and did no see any drinking.

–Eugene Williams, state Route 45, Madison Township, reported at 12:26 a.m. Monday he believes his garage was broke into because a jug of gasoline was missing from the bed of his pickup truck, along with some oil. Battery charging cables were also stolen from his home. Williams said whoever is stealing these items always returns them.

–A Ohio Highway Patrol asked for a deputy to assist them in looking for someone at 7737 Lowmiller Road, West Township, at 4:52 a.m. Sunday. The person was believed to be involved in hit-and-run accident with injuries, but the person was not at the house.
