SHERIFF’S OFFICE

— On June 16, deputies spoke to a subject about an unauthorized use of a vehicle. The individual dropped their vehicle off to a mechanic and it has not been returned.

— On June 18, Deputies assisted Salem PD on locating the driver and passenger that were in a pursuit and crashed at State Route 62 at Duck Creek Road in Goshen Township. Deputies searched the area but did not find anyone.

— On June 21, deputies received a report for threats or harassment, the subject said a neighbor yelled at them and wanted to fight them, The subject wanted a report on file in case of future incidents.

— On June 22, deputies responded to Westville Lake Road after the owner of the residence found a UTV covered in his barn. He said the UTV had been placed in his barn sometime during the night. After checking the VIN number it was discovered the vehicle was stolen out of Alliance. It was towed out of the barn and the owner will be contacted.

— On June 23, deputies were dispatched to Winona Road at 12th street in Knox Township for a two car accident. Rebecca Althouse was traveling eastbound on Winona Road and failed to stop at a stop sign, colliding with Robert Brodzinski. Both vehicles were towed from the scene and Althouse was issued a citation for stop sign violation.
