— Deputies transported several inmates to East Liverpool Municipal Court at 1:12 p.m. Thursday and while in the courtroom, one of the inmates, Shawn Cunningham, threatened to spit in the face of Judge Melissa Byers Emmerling. He was removed from the court room and the incident was reported to East Liverpool police.

–A Speidel Road, Hanover Township, man reported at 2:58 p.m. Wednesday his daughter’s boyfriend was on his way to the man’s house to shoot him. While deputies were on the way, the man called back to say his daughter’s boyfriend was sitting in his truck at the end of the driveway and his daughter saw the gun he has with him. He then said the boyfriend left in the direction of Rochester Road. Deputies checked the area and the boyfriend’s home on Rochester Road, finding his blue pickup in the driveway. However, another family member could not convince the boyfriend to come out and talk to deputies. Deputies investigated the matter and determined the boyfriend and the man’s daughter had recently broken up and he blamed her father for ruining the relationship. He reportedly had told the daughter over the phone to get the children out of the house because he was going to kill her father. She refused to leave the home and he did not carry through with the threat.
