SHERIFF’S OFFICE

— Deputies were asked to check on people at a Grant Street, Center Township, home at 1:13 p.m. Wednesday after a man reported he was on the phone with a woman and he overheard a man’s voice on the phone saying he needed help, then the phone went dead. Deputies met with the woman, who said everything was fine and she would call the person she was talking to back to tell him.

— The Highway Patrol reported at 8:51 a.m. Thursday they were out with a truck, which was pulling a trailer northbound on state Route 11, north of state Route 154. The trailer the truck was pulling was reportedly stolen from Lincolnway Sales overnight. A deputy and a trooper met with the owner of the business signed a stolen vehicle report form, which stated the trailer was there at close of business Wednesday afternoon, but was gone. The Highway Patrol is pursuing a possible receiving stolen property charge against the person who was towing it.

— A Lodge Road, Salem Township, woman reported at 3:04 p.m. Monday she saw a man on her property taking photos of her house and property. By the time she went out to confront him he was in his car, which he had parked in the middle of the road. He claimed he works for Credible Home Inspections and was taking photos to show the property was being occupied.

— An employee of Country Video reported at 12:33 p.m. Wednesday her soon-to-be ex-husband came to her workplace earlier and took her purse. She got it back and nothing was missing.

— The death of a Schneider Road, Hanover Township, man appeared to be a suicide by a self-inflicted gun shot. The coroner’s office was called at 9:07 a.m. Wednesday to conduct the investigation.

— A Pine Hollow Road, Elkrun Township, couple in the process of getting a divorce prompted a call to deputies at 9:16 am. Wednesday when the woman said she came to the house to gather her things and the door was locked. She hit the side of the trailer and broke a window. Once she got into the house, she found another woman in bed and became upset. Deputies told them it is a civil matter and when they go to court the judge will determine who gets what items and right now both have the right to the house.

— A Quay Road, Middleton Township, man reported at 3:12 p.m. Wednesday the neighborhood children ride ATVs on the road and on Wednesday they threw gravel on his car with the tires.
