FIRE REPORT

SALEM — Firefighters were called at 5:07 a.m. Wednesday to the 300 block of Benton Road by a passerby to an area across the road from a business for an unknown fire. Fire personnel found workers burning pallets at the rear of the building. No issue was found with the fire.

CORRECTION

A new case filed in Common Pleas Court by Terri Ward, executrix of the estate of Verna Mae Soldo stated she is suing due to the wrongful death of Soldo, who actually died on Sept. 22, 2018 instead of on Aug. 7, 2018, as it initially appeared in the newspaper.
