Kenyon W. Park
NORTH BENTON – Kenyon W. Park, 88, of North Benton, died Saturday at Davidson Hospice House in Cleveland.
He was born Nov. 12, 1924, in Akron, the son of the late Walter and Gertrude (Herbert) Park.
A U.S. Air Force veteran, Mr. Park was stationed in Mississippi and Texas Air Bases where he served during World War II as an engineer on a B-29 Bomber and the Korean War as a captain and pilot of B-17 and B-24’s and retired from the Air Force Reserve. He had been employed as an accountant and systems analyst for Alliance Ware, Alliance Machine and was self-employed.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy A (William) Park-Cooper of Greenville and Rebecca S. (Tod) Brunie of Sebring; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death Oct. 7, 2006, by his wife, Phyllis I. Park, whom he married on May 22, 1950.
Private services will be held Friday at the Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home in Sebring with the Rev. Mike Kimball officiating. Burial will take place at Sebring Grandview Cemetery with military honors provided by the Salem Honor Guard.
