Janet E. Fegert

EAST PALESTINE – Janet E. Fegert, 80, died at 4:10 p.m. Sunday at Salem Community Hospital following a year-long illness.

Born March 2, 1932, in East Palestine, she was the daughter of Carbide and Goldie (George) Biggins.

Mrs. Fegert was a homemaker and Methodist by faith.

Survivors include her husband, William Fegert, whom she married June 30, 1950; a daughter, Judy (William) Keck of New Waterford; three sons, William (Debbie) Fegert and Timothy (Donna) Fegert, both of East Palestine and Randall (Holly) Fegert of New Springfield; a brother, Tom (Jean) Cartwright of East Palestine; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Brown officiating.

Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
