Mary Lou Weddell
KENSINGTON – Mary Lou Weddell, 82, formerly of Kensington, passed away Wednesday at her residence in Melbourne, Fla.
She was born June 1, 1930, in East Township, to Samuel Henry and Ola Mae (Phillips) Knecht.
She was a lifetime residence of Kensington. Mary Lou was secretary to the R. J. Roberts Company of Salem, Ohio, and a former employee of Hillyer’s IGA in Lisbon. She attended the New Lisbon Presbyterian Church and attended the First Baptist Church of South Brevard. Mary Lou belonged to the Sandy Beaver Canal Association. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the GFWC Viera Woman’s Club.
She is survived by one daughter, Ruth Ann Magrini of Melbourne, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Kristi Magrini of Myrtle Beach, S. C.; two great-granddaughters, Sophia and Noelani Magrini; and a brother, Elmer (Ruth) Knecht of Lisbon.
Preceding her in death on Nov. 6, 2000, was her husband, Charles “Bub” Weddell, whom she married Dec. 9, 1951.
Calling hours for Mary Lou will be held Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Maple Cotton Funeral Home. The funeral will be Monday, at 11 a.m. at the Maple Cotton Funeral Home in Kensington, Ohio.
