EAST PALESTINE -Patricia Davis, 89, formerly of Moore Lane, died at 9:45 p.m. Tuesday at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Boardman campus, where she had been a patient for the past few days.
Born Feb. 8, 1924, in East Palestine, she was the daughter of the late Angus Patrick and Susanna Call Gillis.
Mrs. Davis had been employed as a sales clerk with the former Morris Golden Dawn, and later Rukenbrod’s Market, retiring several years ago. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church.
Her husband, Arthur D. Davis, whom she married in 1942, preceded her in death in 1953.
Survivors include three daughters, Regina Altenburg of New Waterford, Mary Davis of East Palestine and Patty Chamberlain of Columbiana; two sons, A. John Davis of Garrettsville and Paul Davis of Columbiana, with whom she made her home; a sister, Suzanne Hause of Lisbon; and two brothers, Raymond Gillis, Houston of Texas, and Peter Gillis of California.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Burial will follow in Glenview Cemetery.
