COLUMBIANA – Phyllis Sahli, 81, of Columbiana, died Sunday evening at her home.
Born Jan. 29, 1932, in Wampum, Pa., she was the daughter of James and Mary (Locke) Wilson.
Mrs. Sahli was a secretary and treasurer for North Lima High School, and later South Range High School, for over 40 years. She was a member of Mt. Olivet United Church of Christ.
She leaves a son, Daniel (Tamara) Sahli of Youngstown; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Jerry (Patty) Hoover of Youngstown, Donald (Gina) Hoover of DeFuniak Springs, Fla., and James (Lois) Hoover of Phoenix, Ariz.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death Nov. 26, 1997, by her husband, Eugene Sahli, whom she married on Nov. 16, 1950; and her daughter, Rebecca Newton.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Olivet United Church of Christ with the Rev. Melinda Q. Lacefield officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Seederly-Mong and Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana and one hour prior to the services Saturday at the church.
