Vivian M. Gorby

WAYCROSS, Ga. – Vivian M. Gorby, 82, of 2397 Dorothy St., formerly of Negley, died Feb. 7 at Mayo Health Center in Waycross, after an extended illness.

Born May 4, 1930, in Negley, she was the daughter of Raymond and Gladys Bell. She was raised by Mr. and Mrs. William Hudson of Negley.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Herman H. Gorby.

Mrs. Gorby retired as a supervisor at Kenmar and Ethan Allen in East Palestine. She was a member of East Fairfield United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Marla (Steve) Howell and a granddaughter of Waycross; and her siblings, Hazel Ewing, Shirley Westfall and Sandy Finch, all of Salem, Florance Barnhouse of Bethesda, Lawrence (Lois) Gorby of New Waterford, Clifford Gorby of Columbiana, Sonnie Bell of Florida and Eugene Bell.

No calling hours or services will be held.

Arrangements were handled by Low Country Cremation.
