William H. Redifer

SALEM – William H. Redifer, 92, of Salem, died at 11:45 p.m. Monday at the Salem Community Hospital.

He was born Sept. 26, 1920, in New Springfield, the son of the late Leonidas W. and Clara M. (Smith) Redifer.

Mr. Redifer was a member of the Carpenters Local 171 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He moved to Salem in 1994 from Boardman and was a member the Salem First Friends Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred “Millie” (Skaggs) Redifer, whom he married April 10, 1993; a son, William H. Redifer II of Mountain Home, Ark.; two daughters, Sharon L. Pluchinsky of Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas, and Staci J. Space of Mountain Home, Ark.; five stepchildren; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; eight step grandchildren, and eight step great-grandchildren.

A service with military honors provided by the Salem Honor Guard will be held at 11:30 a.m. March 16 at the Grandview Cemetery Chapel with Pastor Pete Fowler officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salem First Friends Church, 1028 Jennings Ave., Salem, Ohio 44460.
