Ronald G. Cooper
SALEM – Ronald G. Cooper, 74, of Salem died at 8:04 a.m. Friday, April 26, 2013 at his home.
Mr. Cooper was born Feb. 16, 1939 in Swanton, Md., son of the late Charles and Alice Mae (O’Brien) Cooper.
He attended Salem High School and was employed as a Detailer for Bob & Chuck Eddy in Austintown, Ohio. He served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1963.
Ronald had a lifelong love for car cruises and auto shows.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn (Hartman) Cooper whom he married Jan. 24, 1971, a step daughter, Judy Bailey of Salem, a stepson, John P. Bailey of Salem, a sister, Janice Wells of Salem, six step grandchildren, Christopher and Brock Bartholow, Ericka Morris, Kel’c Stonestreet, Cortnee and Kyle Bailey, and a niece Amy Parilla.
An infant sister, Loretta Winters, preceded him in death.
A Private burial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Hope Cemetery with the Rev. Leonard Moore officiating. Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Stark Memorial.
