William Mord “Bill” Griffith
LISBON – William Mord “Bill” Griffith, 68, of McGeehan Road died at 6 a.m. Saturday at his residence following a lengthy illness.
Born March 24, 1945 at Bergholz, he was a son of the late William “Delmar” and Eva “Boots” Schocksnyder Griffith. A lifetime area resident, he was a heavy equipment operator for the Oxford Mining Company since 2004.
Survivors include his longtime loving companion, Mary A. Webb at home; seven sisters, Ida Mae Jarman and her husband, Charlie, of Brilliant, OH, Beverly Dickson of Salineville, OH, Anna Madison and her husband, Greg, of Salineville, Connie Householder and her husband, Dan, of Irondale, OH, Jennie Bennett and her husband, Leo, of Bergholz, Ruthie Fredrick and her husband, Ralph, of Oklahoma City, OK, and Helen Wilson of Minerva, OH; two brothers, Harold Griffith and his wife, Sandy, of Bergholz, and Tom Griffith and his wife, Tab, of Salineville; stepchildren Faith Smith, Robert Webb and his wife, Grace, and Jessie Webb; a granddaughter and two stepgrandsons.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
