Kenneth C. Kimble
EAST PALESTINE- Kenneth C. Kimble, 92, died at 5:25 p.m. Sunday at Covington Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in East Palestine.
Mr. Kimble was born Aug. 6, 1920, in Mahoning County, a son of Clarence and Ora Rena Shultz Kimble, and had lived in the area all of his life.
He was a mechanic for Bob George Auto and was a member of the First Church of Christ of East Palestine. Kenneth served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
His first wife, the former Isabelle Clark, whom he married in 1942, died in 1962. His second wife, the former Dorothy Hostetter, whom he married Oct. 2, 1962, died April 23, 2002.
He is survived by his daughter, Sharyn (Dennis) Burkey of Columbiana; a sister, Doris (Roy) Hutchison of Petersburg; two brothers, Norman (Rosetta) Kimble of East Palestine and Albert LaClair; and one grandson.
Funeral services will be held at noon Thursday at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home in East Palestine with Mr. Robert Helbeck officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m. to noon Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Kenneth’s memory to the First Church of Christ Caring Hands Food Ministry.
