Ricky Bruce Burton

LISBON- Ricky Bruce Burton, 47, of Glascow Road died at 6:55 p.m. Saturday in the emergency room at East Liverpool City Hospital from injuries sustained in a tractor accident earlier that afternoon.

Mr. Burton was born March 16, 1966, in Salem, a son of the late Charles “Bruce” Burton and the late Carol Jean (Dotson) Clark, and had lived his entire life in the area.

A graduate of Southern Local High School, Ricky worked as a sheet metal worker with the Sheet Metal Workers Union #33 of Youngstown. He most recently worked at Homer Laughlin China. He was a member of the Salineville Assembly of God Church.

Mr. Burton was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, having served in Japan during peacetime.

He is survived by his wife, Sherri (Lamm) Burton, whom he married June 5, 2010; his stepmother, who raised him, Mary Ann (Belaney) Burton of Salineville; sisters Tamie (Rick) Milhoan of Lisbon, Denise Burton of East Liverpool, Connie Burton Dattilo of Columbiana and Melissa (John) Rankin of Lisbon; and twin brother, Richie (Greta) Burton of Lisbon and brothers Brad (Jen) Burton of Summitville and Joshua (Jill) Burton of New Waterford.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Lisbon VFW Post #4111 Hall, 210 East Lincoln Way, with Pastor Rodney Ohler of the Salineville Assembly of God Church officiating. Full military honors will follow provided by the Salem Honor Guard. Private burial will take place at Lisbon Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the VFW Hall.
