Richard W. Apple
SEBRING – Richard W. Apple, 88, of Beloit, died Friday at the Salem Community Hospital.
Richard was born on Aug. 26, 1924, in Salem, the son of the late Warren Joseph and Anna Marie (Munsell) Apple.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1943-1946 during WWII.
He worked as a foreman for 34 years for Electric Furnace Company in Salem, retiring in 1984 and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Salem.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Erma R. (Yoders) Apple of Beloit; five children, Carolyn Sue (Richard) Flowers of Beloit, David (Miriam) Apple of Pittsboro, NC, Edward Apple of Beloit, Richard W. Apple II of Beloit, and Amy Lynne (Mike) Ramser of Alliance; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home in Sebring with Pastor Roger Dulaney officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home the hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in Damascus Cemetery.
