EAST PALESTINE – Roger Morris, 49, of Morris Drive, died at 7:38 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Elizabeth Hospital, Boardman Campus, after becoming ill at work.
He was born Oct. 22, 1963 in Salem, a son of Maxalee Hazelwood Morris and the late Clem M. Morris. A lifelong resident of the area, he had been employed as the plant supervisor at TubeTech, after returning to work there about eighteen months ago.
In addition to his mother, Maxalee Morris of East Palestine, he is survived by his wife, the former Patricia Craft, whom he married Sept. 26, 1987; and two daughters, Ashley M. and Kristen N. Morris, both at home. He also leaves two brothers, Larry (Myra) Morris and Greg (Jeannie) Morris, both of East Palestine; a sister, Linda (Jeff) Flowers of New Waterford.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home, with Pastor Pamela Price of the East Palestine Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Burial will follow in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens, New Waterford. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the time of service.
