James A. “Jim” Dickey

NEGLEY – James A. “Jim” Dickey, 70, of South Front Street, died at 12:55 a.m. Wednesday at the Salem Community Hospital following a recent illness.

Born Sept. 29, 1942, in Salem, he was the son of the late Louis and Edna (Henderson) Dickey.

Mr. Dickey was employed in the maintenance department at Kaiser Refractory and National Refractory for more than 30 years, retiring in 2002.

Survivors include his wife, Donna (Risinger) Dickey, whom he married Sept. 12, 1964; sons; Scott (Stephanie) Dickey of Rogers and David Dickey of East Palestine; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 am, Saturday at the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home (www.oliver-linsley.com). The Rev. Charles Ready will officiate. Burial will follow at East Carmel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
