LISBON- Twila Possage, 88, of Old Route 45, died at 10 a.m. Friday at her home following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Possage was born Sept. 2, 1924 in Lisbon, a daughter of the late Winfred E. and Velma Faye (Warrington) Carlisle, and had lived her whole life in the area. She was a homemaker.
Her husband, Francis H. Possage, whom she married May 17, 1943, preceded her in death Jan. 7, 2012.
She is survived by her daughters, Judy Williams of West Point and Jill St. John of Lisbon; sons Francis R. (Frances K.) Possage of Lisbon and Ron Possage of West Point; sister, Betty Miller of Lisbon; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her son, Tom Possage.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with the Rev. Joyce Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow at the Lisbon Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
