Wilfred A. “Bud” Boley

EAST LIVERPOOL – Wilfred A. “Bud” Boley, 82, of East Liverpool, died on Wednesday at East Liverpool City Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Born Sept. 2, 1930, in East Liverpool, he was the son of the late Nathan A. and Mary L. (Judy) Boley.

Mr. Boley was employed in the metallurgical lab at Crucible Steel for over 25 years before his retirement in 1982. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. During the Korean War he served with the United States Air Force.

He was preceded in death on July 15, 2004, by his wife, Dona M. (Frost) Boley, whom he married on Feb. 1, 1958.

Survivors include a daughter, Donna June Foreman of East Liverpool; a brother, Donald E. Boley of Garden City, S.C.; and a sister, Virginia Gochenour of East Liverpool.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes. The Rev. Dale Sutton of the church will officiate. Burial will follow in Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Following the service at the cemetery, the family will gather with friends for food and fellowship at the church.

The family will be present to receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home in Calcutta. Friends may also call on Saturday up until the time of the service.
