Norman E. Brown
DARLINGTON, Pa. – Norman E. Brown, 80, of South Beaver Township, died at 8:55 a.m. Wednesday at Veranda Place, where he had resided for the past several years.
Born June 3, 1933, he was the son of the late Leonard and Verna Heaton Brown.
Prior to his retirement in 1991, he had been employed with the Beaver Valley Country Club for 28 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in the Korean War. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Connie S. (Ron) Frey of Fairport Harbor, Patty A. (Rob Shuler) Frey of Winchester, Va., Vicky L. (Bruce) Humphrey of Darlington and Wanda M. (Jim) Lutz of Aliquippa; a son, Norman Brown Jr. of Beaver Falls, Pa.; 12 grandchildren; seven great- grandchildren; two brothers, Charles (Betty) Heaton of Beaver Falls and Michael (Dee) Brown of Columbiana; and two sisters, Joyce (Joe) Chaposky of Carlisle and Helen (Jerry) Barnhouse of East Palestine.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in East Palestine with the Rev. Jeffrey Mickler serving as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
A military service will be conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4579 and American Legion Post 31.
