Charles Edward Hinkle
MURRELLS INLET, S.C. – Charles “Chuck” Hinkle, 70, father of two and loving grandfather of four, went to be with the Lord at 3:15 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, in Murrells Inlet, S.C.
Chuck was born April 12, 1943, in Cumberland, Md., to the late Charles Jacob Hinkle and Catherine Williams Hinkle. He also was preceded in death by an infant brother, Russell Francis Hinkle.
He was a graduate of Fort Ashby High School in 1961 and worked at Blackhawk Automotive Plastics in Salem, Ohio, for over 40 years.
Chuck is survived by his son, Rusty Francis Hinkle and wife, Cindy Hinkle of Alliance, Ohio; daughter Tara Hinkle Sudimack and husband, Kevin Sudimack of Charlotte, N.C.; and four grandchildren, Justin Hinkle, Natalie Hinkle, Ellie Sudimack and Addison Sudimack. He also leaves behind a brother, Bob Hinkle of South Carolina; and two sisters Carol Stryze and Patricia Miller of West Virginia.
Chuck enjoyed the final months of his life living at the beach in South Carolina. He enjoyed playing golf, reading, tinkering with tools and going on cruises with his family. In addition, he had an overflowing love for his four grandchildren.
On Friday, Oct. 11, the family will greet friends from 10 a.m. to noon at Smith Funeral Home, 85 S. Main St., Keyser, W. Va. 26726.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Oct. 11, at 2 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home with the burial immediately following at Hillcrest Burial Park in Cumberland, Md.
