EAST PALESTINE – Jean Nelepka, 92, of Alice Street, died at 10:03 a.m. Sunday at Essex III of Salem, where she had been a resident for the past seven years.
Born Jan. 26, 1921, in Youngstown, she was the daughter of the late Curtis Leroy and Gertrude (Paget) Gamble.
Prior to her retirement, she had been employed with United Canning. She was a member of the St. James Episcopal Church in Boardman.
Her husband, William M. Nelepka, whom she married May 22, 1946, preceded her in death on June 11, 1989.
She leaves a son, William C. Nelepka of East Palestine.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home (www.oliver-linsley.com).
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the St. James Episcopal Church with the Rev. Mary Vidmar officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Boardman.
