Ruth Allison LaNeve

EAST LIVERPOOL Ruth Allison LaNeve, 94, a longtime East Liverpool resident, died Thursday at Auburn Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in Damascus.

Born April 11, 1919, in New Brighton, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Jesse E. and Daisy M. (Baldwin) Allison.

Mrs. LaNeve worked as a teacher’s aide at Westgate School for 15 years and was a seamstress at the former Zack’s Clothing Store. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.

Her husband, Anthony “Tony” LaNeve, preceded her in death.

Survivors include two daughters, Ruth Huggins of Salem and Karen Huggins, and her husband Garry Fry, of Calgary, Alberta, Canada; a son, Glenn Huggins of Greeley, Colo.; two stepsons, Ronald R. LaNeve and Donald D. LaNeve; a sister, Virginia Hamilton of Beaver, Pa.;18 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit Monday evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Rev. Merrill Williams of the church will conduct a funeral service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.

Following the service, family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
