EAST PALESTINE – Thomas Moore, 79, died at 6:05 p.m. Friday at Hospice House in Poland where he had resided for the past few days.
Born Nov. 13, 1933, in Mellin, W.Va., he was the son of the late Glenn and Eva Pauline (Wilcox) Moore.
Prior to his retirement, Mr. Moore had been employed as plant manager with the former Insul Co. He was an Army veteran.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas Moore Jr. of New Waterford and Brian Moore of Boardman; a brother, Charles Moore of East Palestine; three sisters, Mary Lou Shafer of Negley, Alice Robinson of Toronto and Eva of Florida and five grandchildren.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens in New Waterford with the Rev. Mark McTrustry of the Centenary United Methodist Church, officiating.
Military rites will be conducted by the combined units of the American Legion Post 31 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4579.
