Virginia G. Grim
SALEM – Virginia G. Grim, 91, of Salem, died at 2:12 p.m. Wednesday at the St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.
She was born Oct. 22, 1922 in Cameron, W.Va., the daughter of the late Hubert C. and Laura B. (Goodnight) Grim.
She had been employed as a finisher for the Queens China Company in Sebring for 10 years and then later for the Miller Holzworth Company in Salem.
She served with the U.S. Army Air Force in both WWII and the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion, George D. Worth Post 574 in North Georgetown, Ohio.
Virginia loved to make crocheted Afghans and research family ancestry history.
Preceding her in death were seven sisters, Edith A. Hall, Betty J. Frontz, Mary A. Bentley, Evelyn Davis, Lillian Johnson, Dorothy A. Crawford and Janet K. Hoffman and also two brothers, Phillip and Hubert Grim.
A brother, Ronald E. ( Joanne) Grim of Berlin Center survives.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. Vernon Teagarden officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will take place in Bunker Hill Cemetery.
