Betty Jean Wilson
SALEM – Betty Jean Wilson, 84, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013, at 2:30 a.m. at her home in Salem.
Betty was born Sept. 11, 1929 in Richmond, Ohio, the daughter of the late E. Russell and J. Marie (Hile) Wilson.
She had been employed at the Robert Bycroft Sheltered Workshop and had also worked on her family’s farm.
Betty was a member of the Salem First Friends Church. She had participated in bowling with the Special Olympics and had won several medals.
She was a member of the God’s Love Fellowship Group, enjoyed traveling and took several trips with members of Threshold.
Survivors include two brothers, Wayne (Jeanne) Wilson of Salem, Ohio and Paul (Jennie) Wilson of Knoxville, Tenn.; along with several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia McClurg and Verna McClurg.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, at the Stark Memorial with Pastor Pete Fowler officiating. Burial will take place in Highland Memorial Park Cemetery, Beloit, Ohio.
Friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday and also from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
