Dale M. Garlock

ALLIANCE – Dale M. Garlock, 80, of Sebring, died at his home at 12:20 p.m. Saturday.

He was born Dec. 15, 1932 in Alliance to the late Sherman and Mabel (Sutcliffe) Garlock.

A 1950 graduate of Salem High School, Mr. Garlock received his bachelor’s degree in education from Mount Union in 1959, and his master’s degree in education from Kent State in 1962.

He was an educator for seven years with Alliance City Schools, principal at Liberty Elementary for seven years, and Director of Special Projects for Alliance City Schools for 17 years before finishing his career working with the state to maintain industry within Ohio.

Mr. Garlock was a U. S. Army veteran, a member of First Christian Church, the National Education Association, Ohio Education Association, Alliance Retired Teachers Association and AARP.

He is survived by his wife, Doris (Miller) Garlock, whom he married Dec. 27, 1953.

A private family service will be held.
