George W. Ward
BELOIT – George W. Ward, 72, of Beloit, died at his home Friday.
He was born in Alliance on Nov. 11, 1940, the son of the late George and June (Burford) Ward Sr.
He worked as a mill wright for Alliance Steel Products for 45 years.
Survivors include his wife Clara (McNeal) Ward of Beloit whom he married on July 7, 1983, four sons; Mike (Joan) Doak of Sebring, Gerry (Cheryl) Ward of Greenwitch, OH, Bob (Bobbie) Ely of Limaville, Chad Ely of West Virginia, four daughters; Lisa Goss of Ft. Myers, Fla., Dawn (Wesley) Campbell of Statesville, N.C., Stacey Ely of Beloit and Angie (John) Miller of Texas. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a brother, Jack Ward; and two sisters, Ramona Straight and Terry White.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by three sons; Nick, Kevin and Timothy.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Gednetz-Ruzek funeral home in Sebring. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from noon to 2 p.m. Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit.
