Richard P. Torrence
EAST PALESTINE – Richard P. Torrence, 82, of Carbon Hill Road, died at 12:20 p.m. Tuesday.
Born May 20, 1931, in East Palestine, he was the son of David and Rosina (Olivetti) Torrence.
Mr. Torrence, a U.S. Army veteran, had been employed as a steelworker at Babcock and Wilcox in Beaver Falls, Pa.
He is survived by his wife, the former Norma Jean Norton, whom he married Oct. 24, 1952; two daughters, Toni (Carl) Miller, Negley and Terri (Terry) Wendell of East Palestine; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four brothers, Albert, Henry, Edward and David.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
