William R. Owens
LISBON – William R. Owens, 74, of Darner Road, died at 7:40 a.m. Sunday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Youngstown, following a year-long illness.
Born Feb. 21, 1939, in Wellsville, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Mildred (Smith) Owens.
Mr. Owens worked as a laborer in the construction trades out of Union Hall #809 of Steubenville.
Survivors include his wife, Norma (Homan) Owens, whom he married Feb. 18, 1967; a daughter, Mary Higgins; a son, William Higgins; a sister, Pearl “Butch” (Jim) Neville; three brothers, Lawrence (Patricia) Owens, Robert Owens and Jim (Mary) Owens; and two grandchildren.
Following his wishes, no calling hours or funeral services will be observed at this time.
