Cheryl Lee (Baddeley) Starks

SEBRING – Cheryl Lee (Baddeley) Starks, 57, of Lakeland, Fla., and formerly of Sebring, Ohio, died peacefully Jan. 7, 2014 at Tampa General Hospital following a stroke.

Born in Alliance, Ohio on Dec. 17, 1956, she was the daughter of James A. and Ida Mae (Foley) Baddeley Sr.

She was a graduate of Sebring McKinley High School in 1975 and worked many years as a secretary at different companies including Modern China in Sebring and Rain Soft in Lakeland, Fla. Cheryl also worked as a dispatcher for the Sebring Police Department. In her spare time she loved to do crafts and enjoyed going to garage sales and flea markets with her husband.

Survivors include her husband Carl “Red” Starks whom she married in March of 1993; her mother of Sebring; a sister, Ida Mae (Vern) Harnage of Winter Haven, Fla., four brothers, James (Rebecca) Baddeley Jr. of Tega Cay, S.C., Ed (Janet) Baddeley Sr., Dan (Betty) Baddeley Sr. and Mike Baddeley, all of Sebring; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father; a brother, Franklin Owen Baddeley; and a great nephew, Cole Pennini.

A funeral service will be held at Gednetz-Ruzek funeral home in Sebring at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from noon until the time of the service. Friends and family may sign the guestbook online at www.grfuneralhome.com.
