Sephora A. “Nan” Lucas
SALEM – Sephora A. “Nan” Lucas, 77, of Salem, died at 2:05 a.m. Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, at the Circle of Care.
She was born April 19, 1936, in Carmichaels, Pa., the daughter of the late Charles C. and Florence M. (Crago) Plues.
Sephora was a secretary for Salem-Republic Rubber Company and retired in 2001 and previously was a secretary for Dr. Robert Foster. She was Presbyterian by faith, a 1954 graduate of Cumberland Township High School in Carmichaels, Pa., and a 53-year resident of the area.
Her husband, John F. Lucas, whom she married July 2, 1955, preceded her in death on Jan. 29, 2011.
Two sisters, Carolyn Jane Plues and Shirley M. Taylor, also preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sisters, F. Charlene (Stephen) Rapchak of Lexington, Ky., and Victoria S. (Daniel) Rendine of Tigard, Ore.; a niece, Larisa (Rapchak) Erwin of Ashburn, Va., and several other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Burial will be held at a later date at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville, Pa.
Arrangements were handled by the Stark Memorial Funeral Home.
