Marion L. Spellman

CANFIELD – Marion L. Spellman, 88, died Friday after a brief illness.

Born Jan. 26, 1926, in Baltimore, Md., she was the daughter of the late Leroy and Mary (Knox) Hough.

Mrs. Spellman worked in Canfield most of her life. She was cook for many different places but was most remembered for the 20 plus years she worked as a head cook at Idle Acres Truck Stop.

Survivors include her children, Leroy M. (Donna) Spellman Sr., Frank D. Spellman Sr., Darlene Spellman and Pamela Anderson; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; seven sisters, Mary Doris Moore, Helena Moore, Betty Baird, Jean Hoprich, Amelia Cox, Eileen Bates and Shirley Secrest; and two brothers, Arthur and Earl Hough.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank E. Spellman.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at Upper Room Ministries, 4301 New Road, Austintown.
