Donna Mae Vulcan
LISBON – Donna Mae Vulcan, 82, formerly of state Route 45, died at 10 p.m. Saturday at Vista Center, where she had recently been residing.
Born Oct. 1, 1931, in Lisbon, she was the daughter of the late Hershel and Freda (Custer) Chamberlain.
Mrs. Vulcan was employed for many years as a licensed practical nurse at Salem Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include four children, David (Sharon) Cope, Diana Pickens and Dale (Kenneth) McCulley, all of Lisbon, and Michael (Paula) Cope of Damascus; three stepchildren, Ronald (June) Vulcan of North Benton, Dale Vulcan of Elkton, Md., and Bernice (Gerald) Smith of Wellsville; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Esther Chamberlain of Lisbon and Ruth Schnarrenberger of Columbiana.
She preceded in death July 10, 1997, by her husband, Edward Vulcan, whom she married April 26, 1959; and also three stepchildren, Diane Mercer, Gale Vulcan and Marcia Dickey, and an infant grandson.
A private memorial service will be held Saturday at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark R. Wilds officiating. Private burial will take place at East Carmel Cemetery.
