Kathleen B. Fisher
SALEM – Kathleen B. Fisher, 83, of Salem, died at 8:25 a.m. Thursday, April 3, 2014 at her home with her family by her side.
She was born May 6, 1930 in Glendale, West Virginia, daughter of the late George Robbins and was reared by her grandparents, Walter and Samantha Robbins.
Kathleen was a high school graduate and member of both the Salem First Christian Church and Women’s Democratic Society. She was a volunteer at Habitat for Humanity.
Her husband, Edward E. Fisher Sr., whom she married June 16, 1951, survives her along with a son, Edward E. (Renaye) Fisher Jr. of Salem; a daughter, Kathy Hendricks of Salem; half-sisters, Betty Giancola of Martinsferry, Ohio and Ellen Robbins of Bellaire, Ohio; a half-brother, Bill Robbins of Alabama; a granddaughter, Shannon Hendricks; two step-grandchildren, Richard and Ami Demeo; a great-grandson, Jacob Hendricks; two step great-granddaughters, Sophia and Addeline Hill; and several nieces and nephews.
Her twin sister, Pauline Kubancik, also preceded her in death.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home. Calling hours will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home prior to the services. Burial will be at Hope Cemetery.
