FINDLAY – Lena Ziegler, 94, of Findlay, passed away at 8:16 a.m. Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Primrose Retirement Community in Findlay.
She was born on Feb. 4, 1920, in Sondernach, Germany, to the late Friedrich and Rosine Rosenbacker.
On Feb. 19, 1944, she married Chris Ziegler and he preceded her in death on Jan. 9, 2009.
Lena was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Lena is survived by a son, Emil (Joyce) Ziegler of Findlay; a daughter Elfriede (John) Palo of Lenexa, Kan.; six grandchildren living in the Salem area, Brent (Dianne) Ziegler, Christopher (Carla) Palo, Michael (Carmen) Palo, Stephanie Palo, Neil Powell and Leslie Powell; and two great-grandsons, Christian Ziegler and Simon Palo.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Findlay. Pastor Bob Cochran will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Findlay.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2014, at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home in Findlay and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.
