LEETONIA – Bradford Tingle, 76, of Leetonia passed away on May 3, 2014, at the Cleveland Clinic after a short illness.
He was born on April 1, 1938, to Mary Pulliam and Robert Howard Tingle, in Milton, Ky.
Mr. Tingle grew up in Columbiana, Ohio, graduating from Columbiana High School in 1956. After graduation from Kent State University with a business administration degree, he graduated from Officers Candidate School in Newport, R. I., and served for four years as a naval officer. Following his military service he joined the United Parcel Service in 1967 in a management position. His 30-year career with UPS included management and corporate positions in Boston, New York City, Decatur, Ill., Greenwich, Conn., and Atlanta, Ga. After retirement he and his family moved back to the Columbiana area to be close to his family. He was also an avid investor, and enjoyed golf and reading.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, the former, Patricia Poulton and a son, David, both of Leetonia; a sister, Joyce James of Lisbon, as well as his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Elna Lower.
He will be fondly remembered and loved by all for his generosity and love of family.
There will be no services or calling hours.
The family will hold a celebration of life service at the family home for relatives later in the month.
