Braxton James Floor

EAST PALESTINE – Braxton James Floor, the infant son of James E. and Melinda M. Gorby Floor, died at 3:40 a.m. Friday at Akron Children’s Hospital, where he had been a patient.

Braxton was born on May 7, 2014 in Akron, and in addition to his parents of East Palestine, he leaves two sisters, Kylee Nicole Floor of East Palestine, and Sierra Ann McLaughlin of Louisville; and a brother, Clayton Jon McLaughlin of Louisville. Grandparents surviving include Linda and Harold Stanley of East Palestine, Melvin Gorby of Negley, Debbie Floor of East Palestine, and Carl and Donna Floor of Pittsburgh.

The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home, where a service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours. Officiating will be the Rev. Mark McTrustry of Emmanuel United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens, New Waterford.
