Chryssanthi “Noula” Senanefes
SALEM – Chryssanthi “Noula” Senanefes, 78, of Salem, died at 6:40 a.m. Thursday, May 29, 2014, at the Blossom Nursing and Rehab Center in Salem.
She was born April 10, 1936 in Thessaloniki, Greece, daughter of the late George and Athena Kefala.
Noula had been employed at Land O’ Lakes in Kent, Ohio for 15 years. She was a member of the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Youngstown, where she was a member of the Philoptochos Society. She loved spending time with her family and gardening.
Her husband, James Senanefes, whom she married July 31, 1960, preceded her in death Feb. 12, 2013. A daughter, Christine A. Senanefes, also preceded her in death April 30, 2014.
Survivors include a son, Michael G. (Misty) Senanefes of Columbus; two sisters, Katie and Anna of Greece; a brother, Taso Kefala of Greece; and two grandchildren, Taylor and Zachary.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2014, at the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church in Youngstown with Father Yanni Verginis officiating.
Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be at Lisbon Cemetery.
