Gary Esenwein

COLUMBIANA Gary Esenwein, 71, of Columbiana, died March 1 at his home.

He was born on April 1, 1943 in Salem, a son of Robert and Opal (Burton) Esenwein.

A 1961 graduate of Leetonia High School, Gary enlisted in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam conflict and attained the rank of technical sargent.

Gary worked at local Honda dealers in the area, recently retiring as an auto mechanic.

Survivors include his mother; his son, Christopher (Amanda) Esenwein of Austintown; two sisters, Trudy Frederick and Linda DeMaria, both of Columbiana; and two granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his father, a sister, Patty; and a brother, Robert.

Friends and family are welcome to attend a graveside memorial service at Columbiana Cemetery at 11 a.m. Friday with Pastor Ralph Edwards officiating.

The Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana has been entrusted with the arrangements.
