Hortense “Terry” A. Hoehn

WARREN – Hortense “Terry” A. Hoehn of Warren, 89, passed away on the morning of May 24, 2014.

Mrs. Hoehn was born Nov. 24, 1924 in Warren, the daughter of Ralph R. and Alma (Falkner) Speak.

She was a 1942 graduate of Warren G. Harding. Following high school, Terry went on to attend Madison College in Virginia. She was a member of Tod Avenue United Methodist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. Mrs. Hoehn was active in PTA, Y-Teens, and supported her children in all of their endeavors.

Surviving are a daughter, Valerie (Terry) Taylor of Avon Lake, Ohio; a son, Ralph (Carol) Hoehn of Salem, Ohio; six grandchildren, Robert Lutz of Phoenix, Ariz., Michael (Susan) Lutz of Phoenix, Ariz., Jeffrey (Ashley) Hoehn Taylor of Austin, Texas, Julie (Jack) Steele of Homeworth, Ohio, Allison (Tim) Fether of Cumming, Ga., and Lauren (Justin) Hutchinson of Sugar Hill, Ga.; and 11 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Laverne “Verne” Hoehn, whom she married June 23, 1943, who passed away on Nov. 25, 2011.

Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 2, 2014, at McFarland & Son Funeral Home in Warren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at Tod Avenue United Methodist Church, 155 Tod Ave. N.W., Warren, Ohio, 44485. Final committal service will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in the chapel.
