Glenn Arnold Sauerwein

LEETONIA – Glenn Arnold Sauerwein, 79, of Leetonia, died Tuesday at Salem Regional Medical Center due to an extended illness.

He was born July 23, 1934, in Greenford, a son of the late William and Christine (Kentzel) Sauerwein.

Mr. Sauerwein was a truck driver for 43 years, retiring from Jones Motor Freight in 1996.

Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline “Jacquie” Barrett Sauerwein, whom he married on June 27, 1981; four daughters, Bobbie Koran of Columbiana, Connie (John) Campagna of East Palestine, Annette (Bob) Walter of Salem and Brenda Lower of Canfield; a son, Donnie Sauerwein of Columbiana; a stepson, Michael Jones of Macedonia; a stepdaughter, Marla (Thom) Adams of Tampa, Fla.; three brothers, Bill (Nancy) Sauerwein of North Lima, Arden (Jean) Sauerwein and Pete (Diane) Sauerwein, all of Salem; a sister, Wilma (Harry) Arkwright of Lisbon; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Friday at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home in Columbiana where a memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday.
